- Feb 08, 2018 I want Safari to replace Google as my default browser. I watched you tube videos to help me (when I reach the second step, to select the word, Safari at my top left, Safari is NOT there on my ipad pro), no answer given as help has worked from the internet suggestions( most just say that Safari is automatically the default & cannot be.

You can use any webpage as your homepage, and have it shown when you open a new window or a new tab.
Nov 28, 2020 First, open the Safari browser. Click on the Safari tab on the top menu which is beside Apple Icon. Then select preferences option from the available options. Step-2: Set Google as your Default Search Engine.

- In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click General.
- In the Homepage field, enter a webpage address. To simply use the webpage you’re currently viewing, click Set to Current Page.
- Choose when your homepage is shown.
- Open new windows with your homepage: Click the “New windows open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage.
- Open new tabs with your homepage: Click the “New tabs open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage.
